Removing clips from top compartment for windscreen

so i just got an oem wind deflector for my MY00. anyone have tips for prying off the clips on the top 'secret' compartment so i can install this mo**** fu****er? ive tryed flatheads, picks, nails.....i just dont know how without killing my hand or my plastic trim
