Default Removing short block ...

I am in process of removing my short block and will pull it through the top with an engine hoist.

I am looking for suggestions on which short block bolts to hook the chains. The head is off the car and not available so using the recommended bolts on the head is not an option.

I thought about using two head bolts (furthest diagonal ones) so I built a custom leveler. However I am uncomfortable going that route.

All suggestions are appreciated.

dont use the headbolts that could end up badly.
ive removed alot of honda motors and i always use either main support brackets or motor mounts brackets. did you disconnect the tranny?
or is it all coming out as one piece

I've used headbolts in the manner described by the OP without issues.. block had no warpage either... I really had no choice in this situation.

A friend and I flexed out muscles and pulled it out by hand. I dont really recommend it, that thing is quite heavy lol.

I would go to ACE hardware or something similar and gets some grade 10 bolts with the same thread.

More pictures. The picture of the engine on the pallet is fresh off the truck. Then I put it on my neighbor's backyard for a week and then had to hoist it back to the car next week.... (thanks user REEBS for the engine!)
