Replacing license plate light?

Actually the light bulb was fine. I was installing a LED.

Just "pinch" the clear lens from the side and it will come out. I used a trim tool and worked one side and then the other side. Washed the lens case out, replaced bulb and reinstall. I tried to remove the entire housing like some YouTube videos suggested, but I couldn't get it to budge.

I had a 04 TL, the rear led light burned out, the steering wheel lights went as well and several other interior lights, all LED's, so they do go out, at least in my world they do.
