Default Resetting airbag light

Hopefully this is the correct section.

I need to reset the airbag light in my MY06. Any idea of what scanner I need for that?

I don't really want to go to the dealership.

Thanks!

Airbag light? Passenger airbag off indicator (cutoff indicator in the Service Manual)? Had the seats out recently?

Yes, airbag light ...

I am not looking at finding out why it is there, I know why it is there. I have owned this car since it was brand new.

I need to reset it.

I don't think I need that, the car was not in an accident.

You probably need Honda HDS software and an OBD-II dongle. I purchased those things off ebay late last year with success to re-calibrate the passenger airbag sensor in my 06. It was < $150.

I had the dealer reset the code when I had my steering wheel redone, they didn't even charge me, did it in the pull-in area of the service bay.

BTW, I was probably one of the first people to install aftermarket seats in an '06 with fully functioning SRS system. If you search under my name you will probably find all the threads.

Lol, nice. I tried so hard to search for all info. I'm sure I stumbled across yours in a thread somewhere. When I was looking for solutions, I didn't really find anyone who affirmatively replied that they had it working. Even Ballade, where I bought the rails from, didn't claim to have a fully functioning car. They had proofed it out and showed that the car was seeing on/off for the weight sensor but they didn't have the HDS to formally re-calibrate it.
