Default Rotating shock piston

Well i adjusted my megan track coilovers via the way a few other people have. I left the coilovers on and loosened the bottom ring and started turning the whole shock assembly down. Now, a lot of people have done it this way apparently, but i noticed the shock piston was turning. Is this harmful for the coilovers? I always thought it was.

Thanks!

Do you mean the shaft?, the piston is inside the body. Yes it's ok if the shaft turns at the shock body.

It's fine, you don't want to spin it high speed like with an impact gun for long periods. The seals can heat up and get damaged.

Hey if you don't mind since you have the Megans as well, can you tell me what the distance was of the spring to the small locking nut at the bottom perch out of the box? Or what you have it set to currently?

Also wondering on how much drop you have vs. how much shaft is exposed between the bottom locking nut and the lower locking nut on the bottom perch.
