Rotational Clunk, Bang On Decel/Highway Vibes.
Whats up s2ki? I've been having a bit of a problem with my S since well, a damn long time. It started out as just a couple light clunks when i would take slow U turns off the throttle, or in neutral.
Now it has progressed into a rotational clunk that happens on Decel when in neutral. I also have highway vibrations that occasionally get pretty bad, (or am i just too sensitive?). When the highway vibrations happen, they occur only when on the throttle or completely off/ coasting. The half second inbetween those two moments there isnt any vibration.
In the "video" (not much of one, just turn your sound up and listen to the diff. the camera is placed in where the convertible top tray should be) below you should be able to hear it within the last few seconds of me slowing down, it goes "Clunk clunk clunk clunk bang bang bang bang". You can also hear what feels like severe backlash adjustment probelms when i shift. It sort of thunks in when it slides into gear, you can feel it back there as the shifter hits the gate.
Now one thing im not sure if is a major contributing factor, is that i have EVS Rear Diff Collars. They were on the car when i bought it, and i never knew if they could amplify rear shakes to the point of making you think something's wrong.

My thinking is that the diff is gone and teeth are missing, or the driveshaft is out of balance and tearing itself to pieces. Anyone have ANY idea at all? I've been dealing with this since day one of ownership. (and has lasted 12k miles!)
