good luck with your purchase. Just make sure you test drive one (AP1 if you are planning on getting AP1, AP2 if you plan on getting AP2). It is a high reving engine and some people don't take well to it, others (like me) love it.

I've got about 128k on my '01. Runs, drives, and handles better than any car I've owned. I bought it with kinda high miles, but I wasn't worried...I've owned civics and preludes all my life.
I don't know how some of you guys keep the miles off.

I would have to say the 2.2 is a bit more reliable.
No oil consumption issues
No broken/cracked valve retainers (beeifer valvetrain)
stronger rear diff
revised tranny
on my 2.2 my oil is bearly even dirty @ 4k mile oil changes interval.
