You do NOT need a second person to bleed the clutch (or brakes for that matter). Thanks to a very seasoned race shop owner in San Diego, I learned of an effective and inexpensive technique. Since I ran a one-man mobile service operation and did a number of these type jobs I needed a viable solution. Here is what he suggested......

Hockey,

The one-person bleed worked flawlessly! I looped the tubing upwards, and not a single bubble entered the bleeder. Would have taken less than 10 mins, however, when I completed the bleed (after the cdv removal) I found a washer that I forgot to attach to the banjo. Took off the banjo, inserted washer...bleed again. Did three cycles, filled reservoir, close cap, close bleeder...5min later all done!

You get two !!!

I appreciated your advise!!

Awesome. I had something like this in mind where I tried to to keep an upside down 'U' kink in the tube to keep the air bubbles up... but it wouldn't stay. I will try the loop with some sort of magnet holder or something..

Last time I flushed the clutch fluid myself I ended up alternating going under the car, in the footwell for about 20 times. I was quite sore the next day.

I made a really BIG loop. On the vinyl tubing, I added a small piece of rubber tubing (1/4"), to attach to the bleeder better. I then pushed the tubing all the way...looped towards the front of the car, then to then back down...I zip tied the the tubing to the clutch line/banjo...then let it dangle to the my collector. There's a good 8 - 10" of tubing rising straight up from the bleeder...no way any air is getting in.
