Default Something doesn't look right with part of my engine??!! Help.

Just to the right of where you put oil in, there is a white cap surrounded by a few black wires. I am a certified mechanic if you can't tell. Around this white cap, there is white spray, that is almost like dried CO2, it is a white powder substance that looks like it has leaked out. What is this, is it normal and how do I fix it? Doesn't appear to be leaking but it looks like there was spray at some point. If I need to take pics I will. Thanks

Normal. I'm not sure what it is but every s2k I have seen has it. The white cap is the fuel rail damper, it reduces the pulsation caused by the pressure spikes with the injectors opening and closing.

My guess is that it was something Honda sprayed on at the factory to check for leaks.

The powder is on all new Hondas, It's a dry leak check powder used to inspect for fuel leaks.
