something is fu*ked
so yesterday my baby girl would drop down to 2 hundred rpm and studder at every stop then SLOWLY climb back up to 9 hundred. this morning she would idle at 2k for the first part of the day and then do the same bullshit in the afternoon. tonight she was idling perfect. oh yeah, in the afternoon it would cut out at 6k right at vtec. honda doesnt have a diagnostic guy in until tuesday and i dont want anything bad to happen to my one and only. is it still ok to drive until tuesday cause i want to go to the dealership cause they have the best diagnostics equipment. anyone know whats wrong, maybe the emissions control system but definately related to the ecu or a sensor so probably an easy fix.
Are there any modifications to your car, or is everything OEM?
If OEM, idle sag could be the MAP sensor (known issue, especialy on AP1s), so look that one up. It mostly involves ensuring that the sensor is working properly, and the connection to the sensor is secure.
Cutting out at VTEC could be a low oil issue - check that since it's easy to do.
Those symptoms are disconcerting, is there a check engine light?
