Default sprung a leak

i had my car sitting for a few days and then after i moved it i noticed a rather decent size spot where fluid leaked out. i wiped my finger and smelled it and it was brown with a reddish hue. smelt kinda sweet but not much smell at all

i really dont think its oil (oil level is good, oil is also golden) and i really dont know what it is. its not differential fluid cause its underneath the back left corner of the engine bay, in that area.

the only thing i noticed when i drove my car was that it was very hard for me to get into reverse (i wasnt forcing it, and i went 2nd, 1st, reverse.)
does anyone have an idea of what fluid it could be? and where from? i jacked the car up and only fluid i saw was a small amount of fluid on the plastic panel behind the front left wheel

i really think it may be transmission fluid. where would the trans leak from if it was?

Guessing a motor mount. They're fluid filled. A brown oily substance. When mount eventually tears, the stuff leaks out. Leaves a brown residue on mount.

Guessing the one on that side is torn.

That might also explain the difficulty shifting into gear.

Check which fluids are low

I'm guessing its brake fluid from the clutch system. Would explain your shifting issue. And the location of your leak.

I second this. Most likely fluid from a engine mount. Mine were barely cracked and only leaked when I lifted one end of the car up.
