Default Start button not working

Start button no longer works to start the car. Worked fine earlier that day. Went to start my car maybe 4 hours later and got nothing.

The car does have an aftermarket alarm from a previous owner. This alarm does have a remote start. Remote start still works perfect so i don't have battery or starter issues. Ive checked out the fuses and they are good. When i put my key in the car everything is normal, dash lights up, fuel pump runs. Push the start button and not even a click. Clutch switch is bypassed so the remote start can work, so i dont think that is a problem.

Is the switch itself broken?

well the button still works. power is getting from the button to whatever connector its going to. not sure where to try and follow it after that. an ignition wiring diagram would be nice for the stock setup.

the alarm is a crimestopper sp-400 with a very janky wiring job.

Was the alarm recently installed?

previous owner installed it. my friend found the problem tonight though, was a broken wire as i suspected.

Can go ahead and let this thread die/close it.
