Default Stock FRP and high fuel pressure pump simple question

Hi

I am runnig a comptech supercharger with AC with tock injectors

I have a walbro 255 LPH@90 psi (Comptech is rated 255lph@43) and the stock FMU.

I have a question

the stock FMU is rated @ 43psi, if the fuel pump is sending fuel at @70spi, will the stock FMU decrease the pressure to 43 psi and return the rest of the fuel back. OR the fuel preassure will flow to the injectors at 70 psi

Thanks

The S2000 does have a fuel return line, that should answer your question. Also, knowing that with both SC setups that the FPR's only increase FP with boost should also answer your question. In all, your car will be fine if you were to run a high flow fuel pump with the stock FPR.

I guess I don't understand your question, I thought I did, but now I don't think I do. What do you really want to know, the exact fuel pressure increase that will be seen with just an upgraded fuel pump?

Oh, I see what you're trying to do. I don't truly know your answer but from what I've gatherred, maintaining consistent fuel pressure (whatever the rate is) is best left up to a regulator, instead of the fuel pump. I'm sure someone else will chime in and have some first-hand experience with this.

Juan, the stock fuel pressure Regulator should work fine with the 550's. Don't use the Comptech FMU, It will just increase fuel pressure in boost Which you don't need anymore, now that you are using the 550's. The regulator controls the line pressure, not the pump. If you do decide that you need to adjust static fuel pressure, use a adjustable regulator, not a FMU.

FPR= Fuel pressure regulator Factory regulator is not adjustable. AEM makes a bolt on, adjustable regulator.
FMU= Fuel Management unit, Also known as a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Comptech and Vortech supply one with there SC kits.
