depends on which CEL is thrown. I've thrown a few CEL's due to wierd weather+TP, and I've never gone into limp mode
but won't a bad o2 make the car into limp mode?

Slightly OT, but how badly does the exhaust stink without a cat? Is it something you can get used to? What's it smell like?
I got used to it pretty quickly.

a CEL fix is just an extender that puts your O2 sensor a little further away from the exhaust flow. This just ensures that the sensor doesn't smell too much of the uncatalyzed exhaust, which would throw a check engine light.
is the extender something that I can purchase or is it a custom thing that I need to do. thank you for all the good advice so far. And I am pretty sure I can get use to the smell, my previous car was a built evo8 with no cat. Nothing like the smell of carbonoxide in the morning

I used a Blox one from inlinefour. It worked like a charm on my 06, and from what I understand the 06+ were pretty finicky when it comes to TPs

thanks for the help. Hopefully I will be running a test pipe and a new o2 sensor within the next week.

They're all pretty much the same. The only thing you have to watch for is quality welds and such. Since you're running a 60MM exhaust, you probably want to run a 63MM TP. Berk I know is a good one and a favorite around here. But really any of them will do.

I love it. When I stop at the lights with the top down, it wafts over the car and I inhale deeply. Smells like global waming.

I love the smell-- similar to gas go karts.
