First run since I've been back in Austin and got 24.9MPG and that was 90% city with AC on and a number if trips into VTEC. This CAI and TP are working.

I may be putting out more pollution with my TP but I am burning less gas. It may not sound like much but a few more MPG in city will add up! I am very impressed with the highway MPG too, not to mention the increase in power (responsiveness at the low end and top end). The only downside is the increase in exhaust fumes that I can smell when I pull into the garage. I wish I could have my car's A/F ratio tuned without buying an expensive AEM or whatever. Do any Honda shops have the ability to adjust the A/F ratio without me buying any mods?

I don't believe anybody could tune it properly to run really cleanly without emissions equipment in place to assist. That would make the combustion process damn near 100% efficient and it's just not really possible

Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought you were implying the car exhaust indicated the car is running super rich, and while that may be true, you won't be able to get it tuned to odorless.

I smelled my car at *every* stop. It was driving me crazy. Only time I couldn't smell was if I was up-up and windows-up.

Car feels a lot more sluggish without the TP. I don't know how anyone could spend so much money on an aftermarket exhaust and not get a TP to really get some performance.
when i installed my test pipe it smelled for maybe a week...after that everyhting was dandy...or i jsut got used to it...no one has said anything

i have a 05 with megan header and megan tp. it smells if you are in a closed space of right behind the exhaust. when i had the AEM V2 installed i dynoed the car and it ran an A/F ratio of 12.5:1 all the way to redline. here in puerto rico given the humidity and temp the car dynoed 205whp. i know is low but here in the island cars tend to give lower numbers compared to the states.

about the smell it doenst bother much cause i'm not crazy to smell the fumes in a garage. just let it run to the driveway and dont stand behind it!!!!!

I'm not sure if the car is running rich or lean. I would think lean because I can't smell fuel but who knows. The smell isn't that bad, it's just new to me.

I am happy now though. I am getting better MPG then the listed EPA in city and highway and keep walking away from stock 350Zs, SRT-4s and R32s without any problems (unlike others here) so my tune must be okay...
