Swapping to DBW is more complicated than finding a shorter cable.

It bothers me because of the way the engine bay is now. Before when it was a cluster f*** over there
I didn't even see it or notice. Now its long and an eye soar

You already know the drill... Start looking for Honda's with similar cables that are shorter. It's one of the things that doesn't bother me.

The throttle cable loops on itself to minimize any sharp bends. Sharp bends will increase friction in the cable and make the gas pedal "stickier"

im sure a straighter cable will be fine.. time to start looking and comparing....
