Listen to what SpitfireS and Yogi are telling you. Don't drive the car 'til you get it fixed. Driving it can only make things worse.

Given how long you've owned the car this is no doubt going to be an unwelcomed expense. Brace yourself.

UPDATE! took the tranny out.
before it was taken out...my 2nd gear was gone...so i pretty much know what was wrong...
all the teeth on the 2nd gear is gone...and was flying around my tranny....now thinking whether to rebuild it...or get a used one...
cheapest one was 850usd shipped...but id have to pay taxes across the canadian customs...that one is 16k miles
another one i found was within canada...no taxes...but more expensive 1250usd...but this one only has 7000km on it.
so its like 3 times less than the other one...but one more thing...im only gona keep the car for 1 more year....so is it worth it...should i part out everything...and sell the car....or ...i duno..

i say put the more expensive one in and drive it for the year! its only 400 bucks more and with costoms its even less of a difference. make sure you can get a waranty on the insurance though.

Not sure where in Canada your located but post it in there and you might find a local seller, unless you've done that already.

Good Luck

The labour to R&R and overhaul your transmission 13.5hrs $1,166.81 and shop supplies and fluid is $91.50

that is what i got from accurate transmissions
anyone tried dealing with them?
with parts in...i think it'll cost the same as getting a used tranny...used tranny is $1500 canadian and its local....but i still have to pay labour to put the tranny on....which is $300

Very sorry for your loss, we can only hope that you "stop...typing...like...this."

Might want to consider the cheap alternative of putting that pack of rice out of its misery with matches and some gasoline.
