Long story short, my dad bought a nice 05 S2000 a while ago and his only complaint is when shifting into 5th gear he has to push a spring and when downshifting it has a tendency to go past 4th into 2nd gear. I haven't driven the car to give my opinion, but dad has owned many interesting cars over the years from a 55 Austin Healey to a street legal Lola under 2 liter can am car with the cosworth. So I don't feel like it is just him. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Let me say, I have driven the car on the street they live on (25 mph) and it is nice haven't had time due to distance from them to drive the car and other issues to deal with when visiting.
