hello,
does anyone here have the lenght of the transmission??
I'm talking about from the engine to the shifter!!
this is for a project to be done, but I first need to know how I can fit this transmission

You'll have to wait till someone does a tranny fluid change. Even getting to within an inch would require jacking the car up and crawling under. Sorry, I have no time today to do that.
OR, hope that someone is doing a clutch job right now and sees this thread.

it can just be opening the hood, taking the measuring tape at the junction of the engine/transmission up to the shifter (since the transmission ends pretty much at the same place!!)

Umm, you have no idea what the engine bay of one of these cars looks like, do you? It is impossible to put a tape from the end of the engine and reach to the where the shifter goes through the console. If you just want me to open the hood, stand with the tape outside the car and "eyeball" the distance to the stick, I can do that tomorrow. I can guarantee you I can be out be as much as 4-6 inches. (Wonder why noone else has just done it and posted it here? )

i do know how the engine bay looks like.
and you are right it won't be precise enough for my needs, but if you can get an aprox. it would be a good start
