I just replaced my fluid with Honda MTL. Not sure what was in it or if it had ever been changed but the fluid that came out seemed clean and had more viscosity then the Honda stuff. My car shifted fairly smooth before the Honda lube change and now its much harder to go through the gears and noisier i.e. shifts like crap ? Oriley's said a 10w-30 or 10w-40 motor oil could be used ? I played it safe and went to Honda. Would a higher viscosity oil help smooth it out?

I'm interested to know this aswell. I had just changed my fluid with honda MTL. I don't want to waist the money on a different fluid but I would if it made a difference

I have noticed this last week that the trans shifts a little better when the weather is colder. Seems the Honda MTL's lower viscosity may have something to do with this. I may look at something with more viscosity weight sense it's a summer driver.

Anyone running Redline in there trans with good results? I know the drag racers really like there gear oil for the rear diff. in the corvette Dana 44.

Ones a lube and ones a fluid LOL. MTF is correct, I just had lube on the brain.
