hey i just recently purchased a ap1 a couple weeks ago and im not going to lie i've been driving her kinda hard but i just recently noticed sometimes when im at a stop light an shift to first to take off i hear a knock any suggestions why that happens?........and secondly sometimes i hear a slight rattle every now and then sounds like its coming from the rear im not sure though i mean i do have an after market exaust maybe thats it but i was just wondering if anyone could help.....

 

Maybe you need to re-tighten your axle nuts.

 

you think that will fix the rattle? and what about the slight knock i hear when i shift to first sometimes?

 

What RPM are you launching at? If you're releasing the clutch fast under 3500 RPM and giving it a lot of gas, you will lug your engine. This engine doesn't have a lot of torque.

 

are you talking about the noise when you shift into first sitting still? that is normal.

 

i dont launch too fast off it maybe 2500.....and yea soons i shift into first before i even go i hear like a thump or knock.....i just hope it has nothing to do with the transmission going bad or anything like that....

 

yes that is noise is completely normal... it doesnt happpen everytime right only sometimes? As for the rattle im not sure can you give us more info

 

yea it doesn't happen all the time just sometimes.....an as for the slight rattle it just happens for a few seconds when im sitting still sometimes but imma just assume its the exaust imma check into it though......thanks yall
