UOA: Motul 300v 5w40 Track Use Only
First time getting a UOA done and not sure what to expect or read from the results, maybe someone here can help decipher the readings a bit.
From the short description and low Aluminum count I guess the engine is still good, and the oil looks good too.
I'm not sure how much the TBN analysis helped here, I wasn't interested in extended drain intervals, but I was interested in how much longer I could hold out on this 300v at the tracks. Could I go another few more lapping events on this 300v?
Background:
06 Stock Honda S2000
8 track events (6 evening sessions, 2 full days. Evening sessions are 3 hour sessions, about 1-1.5 hour of track time)
No street use
My main objective was to see how the 300v held up to 8 lapping events, and I THINK it did ok? Could I push for more?
Here's my result

I would say that based on the info provided, you could have used this oil longer. Seeing a UOA from a F22C with any oil consumption is unusual though. But this is a track car. Did your engine consume any oil with other brands?
Trending is the key using UOA's. If you stay with this oil and re-test, a patern will surface and you can base OCI on that data. For track use, I would probably rather have TAN, oxidation, and nitration data instead of TBN though.
Thanks for posting this UOA!

For OP I had a sample of 5w-40 and it lasted 4-5 track days and held up admirably in high temps. I did, however, have an oil cooler that kept oil temps to 110-115 deg c.

Just doing some simple math and basic assumptions, the calculator showed 1150km driven. I suppose it is a good idea to reset my trip counter next time for this purpose.
Only used OEM S2000 filter
I have no external oil cooler, but judging from the specs this oil has no problems seeing 300F
I listed 0.75 for top up because I do remember I added a bit in to overfill just a tad over the H mark. Doesn't the ap1 have problems with oil getting sucked into intake without oil catchcan? Are AP2 susceptible the same way? I don't have oil catch can, could be losing oil through that?
When it was street/track duty I used Motul 8100 and it didn't consume any oil, but I could've also topped up less than a liter/quart and forgotten about it. I wouldn't call losing less than a liter losing oil for Honda engines that are tracked.
