Default update on drivetrain vib when cornering hard...

Well, I went on a long drive today (125 mile twisty road drive) and I can confirm
the vibration (if you want to call it that) is during hard RIGHT hand sweepers only.

No left turn, sweep, or any kind of left turn at all makes this vib. Leftys are smooth as butter.

If Im in a hard right corner or sweeper (40-50 mph for example) off the throttle, feels normal.

Then, whack the throttle wide open (i know.. not smart in a hard corner) and bam.. real vibration coming from the drivetrain.

Does this mean it is the differential for certain? Or could this be a wheel bearing?

Any replys are appreciated. Thanks.

I am guessing it is the outer CV. As it gets worse, you will feel vibrations when going straight.

Best bet, order a new axle from HTGuy.

Ahh ha,

I do.. in fact feel a slight vib (like the one when cornering, but not as much) when on the gas hard in a straight line.....

A CV joint huh? Well thats not so bad.

What twohoos posted is for the inner CV's. I did this when my symptoms were like yours, mostly to try and see if it would solve the vibrations, but it did not help. It is quite possible this may work for you, but I am suspecting it is the outer CV's It ended up being a useful diagnostic aid.

Either way, re-packing both the inner and outer CV's with a high quality grease is also good idea while you have it off.

Got my car back from the shop. They put the Driveshaftshop axles in.

Let me say that the axles feel rock solid.

NO SHAKES!! I am pumped up. My car has been shaking for a year till now.
