Default VAFC-II Question....

It seems like my RPMs on the VAFC-II are a lil'bit off like 50-130 RPMs.....for ex. if I'm on the 3k RPMs line on the VAFC-II it will be like 2,950 or so.....Does this happen to you guys? I'll appreciate all the comments ....

happens to me too, im guessing that maybe the stock tachometer reads a little more than what the real RPMs are, maybe idiot proofing? i dunno, thats a shot in the dark

I would think the real tach is more accurate as it reads off of the distributor. But I may be wrong.

My vafc does the same thing also... Like if its 1000 rpm on the tach it will say like 900-950 in the vafc. I dont know which is more accurate but it doesnt realy bother me.

Not likely, as the S2000 doesn't have a distributor.

There is no distributor, cap, rotor, plug wires. It uses a coil on plug ignition system.

Pop the hood and have a look, no distributor.

the vafc is reading the rpm signal from the same place as the ecu. its likely the vafc is a bit more accurate than the bars as there arent that many bars to display slight variances.
