vafc vs hondata
I tried doing a search, but it keeps giving me errors, so I guess I'll see if this post goes through...
I've got a 2001 S2000 with a comptech SC and comptech headers, test pipe, and catback exhaust. I just added the headers and test pipe and i'm worried about it running too lean. Do any of you have any experiences (good/bad) with the VAFC or Hondata tuners and have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

hmmm, so I guess the friendly folks at Comptech must be a little misinformed. They recommended hondata over vafc in the s2000 forum but didn't list any reasons.
Ahh well, I guess VAFC is my only option.
Thanks

before you do the VAFC, did you ever consider do a dyno with air/fuel? I'd seriously doubt you are running lean. The s2000 ECU is very rich from the factory. If you are just worried about that I would not bother with the VAFC. If you are willing to spend the time to tune then go with the VAFC.
You have no reason to be running lean with the Comptech kit and no fuel electronics added. The header and exhaust modifications will not alter your A/F ratio.
And as Sunder said there is no Hondata for the S2000. Not every single person at Comptech who might answer the phone knows about S2000's. If you really are having an issue you want to ask for Shad, since he is the engineer that designed the S2000 SC kit. He's not easy to get a hold of and is horrible about returning phone calls, but he's the source of all the S2000 knowledge at Comptech.
