Default vafcII

if you buy a pre-owened vafcII that has been tuned to some else's car, is it necessary to tune it again for your vehicle. given that the car before it had similar mods and the same motor.

also how low is everyone dropping their vtec to?

finally how much gain did everyone see with this setup?

every car is different. it also affected by climate. write down all the setting somwhere and reset it for while and get it retuned.

never use pretuned material... you don't know who tuned it or how or why... definately not a good idea...

the shop i go to in dallas told me that when they set the vtec point they would set it on my s2000 around 4500, that seems really low compared to what everyone else has... any thoughts. also last question, if you have the harness, do you just plug in the vafc II or do you have to tune it when you install it to some degree. or maybe load base settings.

it doesn't need base settings... until you tune it, it does nothing but look pretty... 4500 is too low for an NA car... if you were boosting, it might be phesable...

also, there are some killer tuners out in TX... One of them is certified by Apex to tune their Power FC... if they are anywhere near you (look on apex'i s website) then I would take it to them... they know it inside and out... not that alot of tuners don't, but someone who is telling you to drop the crossover to 4500 ain't too smart...
