Default valves

I just got my valves adjusted like 2k miles ago and they're back to being noisy as hell.
I want to eventually just change them out(oem) or replace them with stronger ones(aftermarket), but I'm kinda weeery as to which move i should make. i have an ap1 and Ive read about swapping to ap2 intake retainers. Will this solve my problem if i just do this? Or should i just go through check all the valves, look do see if they need to be replaced or just keep adjusting until my wallet is empty?
Has any one had this same experience and if they did, how did you fix it?

Thanks
Jim
