Hello, tonight I tried to replace the light bulb behind the mute button and removed the steering wheel to remove the whole panel. After installing everything back and went for a test drive, the VSA and ! both lit on after I rolled out my neighborhood. I read the manual that saw that I need to properly rotate the cable reel, and I followed that. I did rotated the signal return sleeve and have no idea which was the oroginal position, it could be off by 180, 360 etc degrees.
A few observations:
1) the VSA works when the car was just started and can be turned on/off with the button
2) after the first turn with signal on/off, the VSA light came on
3) activate the VSA by dumping the clutch before the warning light came on will also trigger them

i never move the reel if i remove the steering wheel.

Have you disconnected the battery or tried checking with a scan tool?
