Default VSA Brakes and CEL Issue

I tried searching but didn't find anything.

Here what happen I was driving on the highway to work and a lady turns into my lane cutting me off to the point i had to slam on my brakes so i wouldn't t-bone her. When i did this the VSA light, (!) Light, and CEL all came on at once.

I pull off the highway to get somewhere safe and stopped at a red light when the light turned green the car felt as if i was hitting the gas and the brakes at the same time. Pull over turn off the car to check the Brakes everything looks fine just the rear pads need to be changed. turn the car on all the lights turn off but the CEL and the car drove like normal. I tried slamming on the brakes again to see if it would happen again and nothing that car act like it never happen only the CEL light on.

Im gonna pull the code tonight when i get home but what do you think or know it could be? Do you think its a one time thing or something more?

It may have gone into limphome mode because you exceeded the abs parameters. Did it stall?

Its the speend sensors. You slammed on the brakes from 70 mph. One or more of the wheels locked up while braking while others are still turning. The speend sensors noticed that happened like they are meant to do and they threw the 3 code light on. When you restart your car , 2 of the lights turned off and 1 stayed on because the system was watching for it to happen again to make sure it didnt do it on its own. After a few miles and turning off and back on your car , the system will reset its self and all the light will turn off like they did. There is nothing wrong with your car. Its doing what its made to do.

Now ... why it felt like you were pressing the gas and brake at the same time after this all happened.... Could be a few things..

1. car went into limp mode. Its a safety thing the car does after some crazy shi* happens.
2. 1 or more of your calipers pistons got stuck for a sec after beating on the brake so hard.

Im going to say its the 1st answer ( limp mode ) because it drove fine after a restart.
