Weird problem at 7k rpm

Default Weird problem at 7k rpm

When I would accelerate through my toms it would be fine till I hit 7000 then it would feel like I hit a wall and the car would just and slow down, did this twice once in 1st ger and once in 2nd... Any ideas what would cause it?

My car does the same thing but except it does it at 6k, suppose to let your car heat up first.

Ya it was right after I started it up, didnt know, why does it do it when it's cold.

To keep people from beating on the engine while cold. It can cause damage. Let it warm up before vtec

vtec is a beast and you can damage your engine if you dont let the oil warm up

I'm surprised you drive it so hard immediately after starting the car. VTEC relies on oil pressure to engage. I feel that probably has something to do with the fact it cuts you if you try to vtec prematurely.
