What is this slight ticking sound?

Default What is this slight ticking sound?

I've been hearing this slight near the engine on the top next to the black plastic guard (sorry, I'm at a loss for technical terms here) and thought a valve adjustment would do it. 66k miles, yesterday had valve adjustment done (first one), changed spark plugs (first time), flush coolant, tranny, diff (oil changed last week with new intake filter). Noise is still there:

Is this normal or something else? I really thought a valve job would do it.

The injectors in the S2000 are known to be noisy. I can't be sure but I think that is what you are hearing.

sounds normal, try to listen to the sound with the hood closed.

Mine sounds exactly like yours. I took a mechanic's stethoscope to the base of each injector and identified that that was what it is. Each one sounded the same so I ignored it. They're noisy suns of bitches.
