There are so many choices... any certain sub-$300 springs that will lower my car about 1.5" front/rear and give me a stock feel without damaging the stock shocks?

any lowering spring can damage/prematurely wear your stock shocks. There is no real cheap solution.
Either leave it alone or if you got the $$ get a nice set of coilovers

I have Eibach Pro-Kit springs and they LOOk great. Unfortunately, my suspension geometry is hosed now. My stock struts are not dampening the rebound enough, and I will now need to either pull them out and replace with an aftermarket struts (Koni Yellow), or bail it all and just go coilovers ($$$).
So, Eibachs alone will not supply a stiff ride like the stock feel.

H&R springs are a decent choice but if you're looking for 1.5" drop, these aren't for you.
I tend to agree though that springs only will prematurely hasten the demise of your stock shocks. It all depends on what you're tying to achieve I guess.
