What is the usual engine oil grade and usage?
For a S2000 in the United Kingdom what is the correct grade of engine oil to use. Are some better for performance but not a good for the engine and visa versa? I was made aware by Honda when I purchased the car that it does use oil in use. How much oil should i expect to be used and what is normal?
Sure you all have your own ideas.

Your owner's manual (at least our does) should say to use 10W30 but I was under the impression that this is hard to get in the UK and you fellas are going with either 10W40 or 5W30. The 5W would be better in the cold months. If you've got at least 10K miles, you can go to full synthetic 10W30 year round. Yes, the first many thousands of miles, the engine "can" consume a lot oil (as much as 1 liter/1000 miles - or more). It tends to use more oil the more you VTEC. Check it often.

Good advice, I have been surprised at the amount of oil this car uses but it is good to know this is normal. What are the advantages of changing over to full synthetic 10W30 year round? You are right 10W30 is hard to find, so I am using 10W40.
