What is the V Type steering?
do searches for 'TYPE V' and 'VGS', its only for JDM's 'VGS' edition of the s2000, which has a different steering wheel and varible geared steering (can't remember if that's the acronym or not, but thats what it means).
and nope, not going ot be offered in the states anytime soon, not in the next year or few years, or ever for all we know.

You know, it seems like I remember reading that the type V steering was some type of crazy steering rate on the car. It was something like 1.75 turns from lock-to-lock. I don't remember the exact figure, but the tester did say that he nearly drove off of the track several times while trying to get used to turning the wheel so little.

It's Variable Gearing Steering. The gear ratio changes depending on vehicle speed, cornering, etc, etc. I have an SAE Technical Paper on it. I also have one on the S2000 Engine. Perhaps one of the Moderators could post it on this site?
