Default What's the best way to break-in a new OEM LSD unit ?

What's the best way to break in a new stockLSD unit ? I don't mean just the lsd piece but the whole thing including the housing and all other internals, which is coming from the factory assambled as a whole package !!!
I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times before but, I tried searching and nothing came up...

I would just follow the same procedure that is specified for the rest of the car during break-in. Go easy for the first 600 miles, no hole shots, etc. For the first 100 miles, I would not drive more than about 30 minutes, then allow the diff to cool down, before the next 30 minutes, etc.

At about 2000 miles, i would change out the fluid.

Drive for about 10mi then let the car cool for about 30min. Repeat 3-4x's. Find an open parking lot, and do some figure 8's let the car cool, then your good to go.

to add to swtazn97
dont forget to change the fluid right after you do the figure 8's specially if you get a clutch type LSD.

there will be lots of shavings that will have come off the clutches
