When to Replace Your Suspension Bushings (and What to Look For!)
By Brett Foote

Don't start swapping out suspension parts until you have a look at those old bushings. Check out what to look out for inside!

article didn't include any of the noise drawbacks of using polyurethane bushings, the squeaks when it gets cold can drive you crazy, although some people say they never have that problem.

That would be my concern. Noise. Any real world experience with replacement bushings with respect to the noise level and stiffness?

Are there any bushings out there somewhere between the Energy( I've heard they're very stiff, I don't track my car, just weekend use) and the powerflex ones ( 1200$ for a full car)?

I am getting squeaking and vibration from a corner, and think bushings are needing replaced on my 00.

The only way to avoid the squeaks is to install zerk fittings on each bushing and add lubing them to your maintenance schedule

Probably better to find out what is squeaking first.

Its almost for sure not your factory bushings.

I agree, the factory rubber bushings will almost certainly not be squeaky, unless they are completely broken and you are hearing rubber to rubber squeak (which will probably include some moisture in the mix).

If anyone's interested in replacing control arm bushings and doesn't have the proper dies for your press, you can order custom 'Drill Bushings' from McMaster-Carr in almost any size. I just ordered some, less than having a local shop screw up your control arms, and it gives you some satisfaction.

Just a little helpful information for the group who's interested.

P.S. that's a pretty fast blue up there ^^^

You can order a 'standard' piece that is 1.375" OD that should work for one of the dies, but for $15 more I just went for 2 custom sized pieces. Either way you will need to order 1 custom size piece, so you might as well get two just to be sure.
**I have not used these yet, but in theory they should work. They won't arrive until close to Christmas.
