"Crush your SUV!!!! If you don't have one, crush someone elses. "

Brilliant.

I couldn't get past the first page of posts without laughing until I had tears. Thanks for brightening up a dull morning at work. You've managed to push some large buttons.

I loved the "free country" comment and our inalienable right to drive what we choose. I'm looking up SUV's in the Constitution.

I was bored today and I can't do that stuff around here anymore.
I feel your pain, so I'm going to live vicariously through your online campaign against vehicular gluttony. I can hear the panties twisting in knots from here.

Don't bother. They're in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution, and fall under those inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of conspicuous consumption.

No, no, its somewhere in the amendments, the right to bear SUVs and Pickups. I just can't remember which one right now.

No you're all wrong. It was left to the several states which sort of explains California.

Pretty sure I called it from my first post and repeatedly afterwards that you weren't being entirely sincere...

At any rate, if you didn't want an actual discussion, and just wanted to "bait" us into...what exactly? then what was the point of the thread? Had a newbie or non-member or non-CO pulled that game in here, you guys would be calling for his head.
It's a funny thing Chris. I mean every word of it. I've brought the issue up here two or three times before. Do a search, you'll see. I just know many folks can't get their minds around it and get all worked up over the idea of banning SUVs. So I try to inject a bit of humor into it. This time, I tried to instigate a voluntary program. It seems to have some appeal.

Now, now, I know we have more than our share of self-centered nutcases out here but we're not all that way.

And what's next? .. to ban mommas and apple pie?

So it could in fact be argued that pickups justify the extra gas...
Stand beside her,
And guide her,
Through the fight,
With the light,
From above.

(Where's Kate Smith when we need her?)
