I loved the "free country" comment and our inalienable right to drive what we choose. I'm looking up SUV's in the Constitution.

 

I feel your pain, so I'm going to live vicariously through your online campaign against vehicular gluttony. I can hear the panties twisting in knots from here.

 

Don't bother. They're in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution, and fall under those inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of conspicuous consumption.

 

No, no, its somewhere in the amendments, the right to bear SUVs and Pickups. I just can't remember which one right now.

It's a funny thing Chris. I mean every word of it. I've brought the issue up here two or three times before. Do a search, you'll see. I just know many folks can't get their minds around it and get all worked up over the idea of banning SUVs. So I try to inject a bit of humor into it. This time, I tried to instigate a voluntary program. It seems to have some appeal.

 

Now, now, I know we have more than our share of self-centered nutcases out here but we're not all that way.
