I have to give it more thought . . . but here's a list I made a few years back in alphabetical order of some great ones.
This is my Dream Cars list (if I won a few $100 million)
My formula: heritage, killer looks, limited numbers built, and no more than two from the same manufacturer.
Street cars but not necessarily daily drivers
AC Cobra MkII 289, 1963-65, 455 street versions made.
Alfa Romeo 8C-2900B LeMans Berlinetta, 1938, one-off, phenomenal prewar.
Alfa Romeo Giulietta TZ2, 1964-65, 12 made.
Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato, 1960-63, 19 made.
Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, 1938, 4 made, 2 survive, one of the greatest prewar.
Ferrari 250GTO, 1962-64, 36 made.
Ferrari 275GTB, 1964-66, 660 made.
Jaguar XKSS, 16 made before factory fire, one owned by Mr Cool, Steve McQueen.
Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’ Coupe, 1954-57, 1,400 made.
Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7, 1972-73,1,580 made, considered by many best 911.
and a few of the race cars:
Moss' 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SLR Mille Miglea winner
Shelby’s 1959 LeMans winning Aston Martin DBR1
P. Hill's 1962 Ferrari 330TRI LeMans winner

This hangs in my office at work, Dave:

Love that artwork Bill.
This is 'high-end' model of the same car that resides just in front of the driver's autograph to me, getting into a little less spectatactular car. I've seen the actual Merc but it was back in the time when people didn't car iPhone cameras.

So it's probably a generational thing Dave.
I think I'd have to put a McLaren F1 on that list.
And a Porsche 956 ( ok not street but so what, this is my list)
throw in a ford GT40 longtail.
a recent 911 GT3 or GT2

Great model, photo and autograph. I understand he was a very friendly man. He was very ill last year and has "retired" from public life.
