I never thought of that until reading Bill's comment. IIRC, when I did the inadvertent quote of a closed thread, the thread still remained closed afterwards. I'm not sure but I'll try to find out. Thanks for the heads up.
Jerry,

Just as you can go to a closed thread and quote someone, you can go to your own post wthin the thread and edit it out. You are not really unlocking it, you are just going to your own post.

Martha and Jerry,

In the past, I've had my run-ins with both of you, and many others on the Vintage forum. I don't offer these thoughts with the pretense that I am some paragon of decorum. I offer them as someone with experience in embarassing himself by his own behavior on the board, behavior that I later regretted.

This has gone on long enough. You are both too close to the battle to see what is happening. You may be damaging the community and your own images in the community. If you care about those things, then please stop the public debate. If you both believe this fight has merit, I urge you to take it to the admins by PM. The only people who want to see this continue in public are the people who go to races to see the crashes. You are both better than this.

Peace.

Whoaaaaa! For a change, the white knight rides in to save the maiden. Who the F has been haranguing who with the nasty comments? Do you prefer provocative language (again)....rather than emoticons?

Where have you been when others have been under Martha's knife? Is there something in the CO code of conduct relating to this gallant behavior? Maybe we need another poll.....just for fun....no emoticons.

[QUOTE=ralper,Sep 27 2008, 04:13 PM] You would be amazed and disturbed at how many Vintage members have joined S2KCA because of these kind of episodes.

Ellen, thankfully it sounds like you both are ok. That's all that really matters. There are always other S2000's and other owners that are not posting like 16 year olds.

I'm sorry that I started this thread. Actually, I'm pretty sorry that I've started any threads in Vintage lately. They all seem to degenerate rather quickly. Had I wanted to post to Street Encounters or the Corner, I would have. I thought I was posting to Vintage, but I guess I was wrong. Either that or Vintage has changed radically and lost its purpose. Remarkably, no thread is safe, and the traditions of Vintage seem to have been forgotten.

I'm not exactly sure what actually happened, but it feels mighty strange in here lately.

I was in a serious car accident today (yesterday now) - not in my car - but the S I was riding in is probably totaled. We both could have been VERY seriously injured. Backwards into a tree. I cried over the S too.

I hit my head very hard, enough to raise a good sized bump. I seem to be OK
Wow! Glad your OK, how is the driver? Was it the wet roads that increased the chance of the accident? Appx how quick were you going?
