Need recommendations for new sedan

I test drove the Infiniti Q50 today. It was very sporty, but the cabin seemed to be much smaller than the Genesis. Also, the trunk was very small. The main benefits of the Infiniti are that it is AWD and hybrid, something that the Genesis or Avalon can't lay claim to (they are either hybrid or AWD, not both). It was also a few thousand dollars more than the Genesis.

One of my colleagues had two Infiniti G35, the first one for 3 years (on a lease) and the second one for 5 years. He loved them and got trouble free mileage from both. He decided to get rid of the second one just recently. He test drove a Q50 and thought that it rode a bit softer and that it didn't handle quite as well. He ended up buying a 2014 Acura TL with all wheel drive. I was surprised too. I don't actually think the TL handles better than the Q50 as much as he just wanted a change after owning Infinitis for all those years.
Have you thought about the new Acura TSL. It's supposed to be quite a nice car. I haven't seen it myself, but I understand they're in the dealers showrooms now.

I agree with Dave and Sue in principle, but I would not be looking at any of the cars listed.

Yes, the Acura TSL are starting to arrive at dealership. Lots of reviews online as well.

There is also a sport version of the Q50, which has a firmer ride. I have the G37 Sport coupe with 6mt and I find that it's a great cruiser. The seat adjustments are great and on a long trip, no backaches, headaches, or other aches. I agree that the cabin and trunk are small, but with just the wife and I, we don't need a lot of room. What you immediately notice in the Infiniti is the 330 HP engine. Put it in cruise and no matter how steep the mountain, your at the same speed at the top as you were at the bottom.

Have you look at the Lexus LS? I have a 96 LS400 with 164k that I DD. I don't remember having any issues with it since new. I just do the normal maint., tires, brakes, water pump, t-belt and oil etc. I did have to put cardboard box in front of the radiator this past winter for heat due to a stuck wide open thermostat which I need to take care of before this coming winter. MPG isn't great but it's very comfortable and reliable from my experience. They do offer an AWD model.
+1 want me to get a new one due to my current DD's age but I am not ready to part with my $$$$ just yet.

Thanks for all the valuable comments from all of you.
Sue and I decided that we want to buy the 2015 Hyundai AWD Genesis. While the mileage isn't that great, the abundance of safety features more than makes up for it.
One downside is that the car is so popular, that most dealers don't have the car in any of the colors we want.
