Just because something changes does not mean it got better.

Coach Madden said it best this morning. . . something to the effect of, "There hasn't been an O-line on any team in the last three weeks."

Also, he went on about the injuries and the fighting, and just dirty play. He said it starts with letting a few things slide, then everything can go wrong.

I know that I will surely come to regret divulging this, but, I not only have a cap for each team but I also have PJ's for each team. What a loser, huh?

Biggest long term problem for the NFL is physics.

Kinetic energy transferred is proportional to mass X velocity squared, back in the day when Big Daddy Lipscomb was notable at 317 lbs and Sherman Plunket was a "freak" at 340, big mass guys weren't very fast,

50 years later, the field is full of 300 pounders that move like the old 200 pounders. The human body hasn't got any more impact resistant and the damage is worse.

Limited substitutions is the answer, we'd have 200-250lb guys flying around the field for 60-70m plays per game

I grew up watching the Baltimore Colts and Big Daddy Lipscomb was quite a character. He was huge but like you said he was very slow. So was Art Donovan the other big guy on the line whose pre game dinner was 6-8 hot dogs washed down by a couple of 6 packs of Natty Boh. When the Colts played the Cleveland Browns they had a running back by the name of Jim Brown who was making a name for himself as the best fullback in the NFL. They asked Big Daddy what he thought about Jim. Bid Daddy replied "Just wait until I get my hands on him". Jim ran for 4 touchdowns and Big Daddy barely touched him. After the game Big Daddy was asked to share his thoughts on Jim. Big Daddy looked down and said "Man that cat can run" Yeah, those big guys were slow but that has all changed now.

Which Bruin player's jersey you wear to the games? I have King's Drew Doughty and a signed Rogie Vachon ones.

A local group has started collecting money to have a perfect 0-16 parade. If the Browns make it they will have a trade through downtown. If they don't make it and win a game then they donate the money to the local food bank. Last year they donated all of the money collected and the Browns matched it.
