Default A Nutritious Lunch

Today for lunch I had a pressed turky sandwich on whole wheat, unsweetened tea, and Sun Chips. Dessert was cheesecake.....but with blueberry sauce...so I was getting all those good antioxidants.

Are you eating healthy lunches or hitting Burger Doodle most days?

Had a Healthy Choice fresh mixer for lunch. This Tuscan Style Chicken is not bad. 18g of protine and only 320 calories.

Leftover tortellini with a meatball.
Make my own sauce and meatballs, so not too bad.

Yum, pmptx.

We're having pasta tonight with left-over sauce and meatballs that I fixed last Friday. Sause was from all fresh ingredients and meatballs were ground beef/Italian sausage/Italian bread crumb mix. Turned out fairly well considering I am more of a food preparer than I am a cook.

I had a steak salad - cubes of steak, medium-rare, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, cheese, heart of palm, tomatoes, mushrooms, with a balsamic vinegrette.

This is usually our Wednesday lunch, but we had some leftover steak that we didn't eat this weekend since we were at the Tomcatt.

Dinner should be wild salmon with veggies.

We pretty much always eat helathy now, except sometimes while traveling.

I missed lunch altogether, I'm running on Gatorade and water, so I guess I'm running on a deficit caloric intake.

If I'm eating in, Rick has been preparing my lunch.. It's generally a salad, or a sandwich on a multigrain sandwich "thin" low cal high fiber..tuna, turkey or ham, tomato if we have any around.

If I'm heading out to lunch it's often Wendy's but I try to make healthy choices.

Just don't ask about snack food. Salty or sweet generally wins out over fruit/healthy choices.

We have a very good cafeteria at work, so there is no excuse for not eating healthy. Today I had some pasta salad with spinach leaves, tomato, celery and black olives. And some broccoli and cauliflower. Some days I eat more. They fix quite a few Chinese dishes, so I get a little chicken or beef with veggies.

Today's lunch was a big cup of boiled peanuts. Yum! Is that healthy?

Yesterday we went to Italian Oven for Sausage and roasted red peppers over Linguine. You could hear the arteries slam shut.

I brownbag most days. Roast beef, chicken, turkey, pastrami, corned beef from the supermarket deli and various cheeses on whole wheat, rye, pumpernickel, or sourdough. I usually include a small bag of chips (sometimes two) and a big dill pickle.

I guess I'm a bit different from the norm. Breakfast makes me sluggish so I have a snack about 9 AM, lunch at 12 and a sensible dinner.
