Crap! I'm cleaning all the old lava rock and guess what it's full of.

Crap! I started to open the box to wire in the new pump and the box screws were stripped.

Crap! I lost my screwdriver in the pond.

Crap! Looking for my screwdriver I got my finger bit!

I quit. I've poured a bloody mary. I'm glad it's Summer.

So you're having a nice day. Just think of all the fun you missed by not going to work.

So that's the difference between a pond and a lake. Mornings with mimosas, afternoon with margarita, time to relax with a beer before dinner. Wine with dinner, followed by after dinner cocktail.

When is it not time to drink?

Sorry your day started rough. It sounds like you ended it well.

It all worked out. The upper and lower ponds are flowing. The bamboo loved all the crap. I no longer smell like crap. The turtle apologized for mistaking me for food and my jeep has a new battery.

My son has a theory that no mechanical work on the car will be successful until blood has been spilled. Maybe that applies to fish ponds as well. Seems like things improved dramatically once you had your turtle run-in.

I had an Oh Crap moment yesterday it was like something out of a sitcom. I was up on a ladder working on some duct work and kind of sort of leaning back on the ladder to get to what I was working on and luckily I had one arm around the ductwork when OH CRAP the ladder went over. I hung on for a bit then fell to the floor luckily it wasn't very far but I did think Oh Crap.
