I'm not sure where you got that idea from zzziippyyy but the vast majority of broadcast and satellite HD is 1080i and not 720P. The only broadcast networks in 720P are ABC and Fox. All others are 1080i. On the satellite side of things, most channels are 1080i again with execptions being ESPN (obviously as it is ABC) and National Geographic Channel. What DISH and DIRECTV are broadcasting on their Pay per views is something I don't know.
