I think that's it for now.

Dean in the last few years, I managed damage two loaners. peeved me so bad. and we have a high deductible.
The first one I got precisely 10 feet before ripping the passenger side door open on a parked snowplow blade.

it was ****ing rather vigorously at that moment and the wiper had built up a wedge of **** on that side of the windshield and the plow was angled out so I really couldn't see it.
as I said, not my finest work. It was parked next to the red truck when I jumped in. I might have gone, 10 maybe 15 feet.
it is a gut wrenching sound to hear in slow motion.

Alec Baldwin has been staying in my part of the world this week. When he was first seen in town there were a few posts on our local community facebook page about it but they got deleted as people felt his privacy should be respected. Apparently the paparazzi has been hounding him and his family. I think being a celebrity may in a lot of cases be, be careful what you wish for as you might just get it.

Just to give you an idea of how casual we are here in NZ...here's our Prime Minister (in the mask) giving a small press conference, at which a member of the public felt compelled to provide a counterpoint.

PM told her to back off, then cancelled the standup when she didn't. Police response was to keep the woman at a distance from the PM.

YEP, that's in your face! Respect is a word many these days have dropped from their library.

Once a month I put Morgan in her carrier and take her to the vet for a nail trim. The tech handles it, usually on Wednesdays. Yesterday I called and left message asking if I could stop by this AM and if not, to leave me a message. No message. Headed over today an the door was locked. Darn...I have the tech's phone number. Sent her a message asking what time she'd be in. She answered that they were on vacation this week. Oh well, Morgan got a reprieve. Not a big deal. I have thought of picking up a pair of welding gloves to see if Rick and I can just do this task on our own.

In other breeze shooting. I'm craving some scallops. Working for a company that made equipment for the scallop vessels, I was often given nice tasty scallops right of the boat from a vessel owner. I miss those days. Some of the best scallops were from the day boats. I got the number of one of those guys who used to dock his vessel at my place of employment. Texted that I'd like to buy some scallops from him. I told him I was NOT looking for free scallops, just tasty ones. I could certainly buy scallops in the store, but you can't beat the freshness of those right off of a boat!
