A thread for the rest of us
It's getting hard to find an active thread in here that isn't about Fall Colors. I know we all wish we could go, but I'm guessing many of us are not. If you are like me, you might be feeling a little left out and looking for a thread to get involved in, so I thought I'd start this one. Who's going to be around this weekend? What's up in your world. If you wanted to go to Fall Colors but couldn't, what was keeping you away?
I'll be pretty well focused on the World Series this weekend As a life long Red Sox fan, this will take much of the sting out of missing Fall Colors. I don't really watch the World Series when other teams are in it (and so I almost never watch it
) How many of you will be following the series this weekend? I'm guessing it might depend on the outcome of the NLCS that is on right now.
I've been very busy at work lately. I seem to be working harder now than I ever did. I read a lot of posts from Vintagers who also seem to be working very hard lately. Have we become more important as we got older?
How about next year? If you couldn't make FC this year, will you try to go next year?
Just some topics for us to discuss this weekend. Feel free to add some of your own.

Bill,You will be missed.
But on the bright side I am excited for you about the Red Sox. As a native born New Yorker (Mets fan) I hope that your team shakes the "Bambino Curse" this year.
BTW, Did anyone here the interview on National Public Radio this evening with Bill Lee (former Red Sox pitcher)? What a character? He is a hoot and a half.
I agree with Matt: you will be missed this weekend.
Congratulations on having the Sox in the World Series. Red Sox fans have endured a lot of heartache over the years. Good luck to you all this year.

Can we make this a politics-free zone?
I couldn't go to FC this year because of everything going on around here - selling my old house, working on the new one, applying for a doctoral candidacy, and getting my mother settled into her new home here. I will be going to FC next year if at all possible.

Don't you think that those of us who are going to Fall Colors are going to miss you guys? We wish you could attend too. Make plans for next year, or perhaps the Spring Fling.
Except for the Mets, my two favorite teams are in this world series. Who to root for? Probably Boston. It's time to end the Curse of the Bambino.
I think dean has a good idea. Keep this thread politics free. Matt came up with this idea for Fall Colors. I think its a good idea.
See you Monday.

Bill, root the Sox to victory this weekend for me! I think these Vintagers are going to keep me too busy to park it in front of the TV.
Anyway, hope to see you again soon. Sorry Karen and I couldn't make the Mohawk last weekend, but we were in Block Island celebrating our 10th anniv.
Neb will soon be in the garage, but I hope you'll plan another early spring car wash. Next time, I will make sure not to clean my wheel wells in your driveway.
Steve, Dean,
Sorry you guys can't make it either. Enjoy your weekend.

I'll also be working this weekend, with Sunday afternoon spent watching football and the series, hoping the Sox will finally win one.
I think it would be great to attend the FC but the thought of an 11 hr ride from here, in who knows what kind of weather, was too much to take off from work. Maybe next year if it is closer to here we can make it Bill.

Why don't you start planning now for FC'05 to be in New England? The first week of October would be perfect and start ordering the lobsters NOW!! Rick would probably invite the help and we could just add an extra day of car madness to our schedules!! ( sorry, but I call our S my new kitchen .... what I gave up for my H's mid life crisis! )
