on the plus side, I was very pleased that the snowblower worked really well even in this frozen poured concrete.
I was even more impressed at the corner of the driveway when it threw the accumulated mud under the snow slushy crap.

We too. We got a break.... house lights stayed on and wife hand shoveled most of the drive before I knew what she was doing. Seems she did not think my snow blower would be up to that kind of strange stuff. So I had to show her. Her shoulders hurt tonight, mine are fine.... thanks for asking.

We got about 4 inches of ice/snow/sleet it is like shoveling cement.

we got away with just about nothing from this storm. A little slush in the AM, then rain.
It's cold today, but hey it's winter. I can do this, I keep telling myself, I CAN do this.
Fired up the snowblower last night...just to make sure it still runs. Our two inches of snow melted on it's own. Just the way I like it! Still damp, dark, and gloomy. I think that is the part I hate most about winter.
I've frequently made the winter observation regarding precipitation, "better wet than white."
Please allow me to clarify; wet means rain but does not allow it to freeze once it gets on the ground.
glazing everything in ice is not cool.

Denver has an unrelenting cold front that has kept our temps below freezing for many days. Even though we’ve had sunshine it hasn’t overcome the nighttime lows and reflective qualities of the persistent snow on the ground. Love the skiing, but enough for now; I’m now considering another SoCal or Scottsdale vacation after the first of the year.
