I think we're smack in the crosshairs of this one.
Low might go right over Lainey's house which means we get the snow shield .... bigly.
current forecast 12"+
and spring storms aren't the nice fluffy blow away stuff but high moisture snowball packing snow.

Prediction is for 9"-17" of snow here Monday night into Wednesday. Bad timing as there are still a lot of people without power from last week's wind storm. Not to mention weakened trees and power poles.

More recent March storms:

On March 9, 1999, a snowstorm produced 8 to 12 inches of snow during the afternoon commute, crippling automobile traffic throughout the metro area

A mid-March snowfall in 2014 dropped 7.2 inches of powder on Reagan National and 11.1 on Dulles.

Roughly a year later, on March 5, 2015, a snowstorm brought 5 to 10 inches across the region.

Gorgeous day today in the Boise area. Other than a freak rain storm last evening for about 30 minutes, we have had three great days in a row. Looking like a gorgeous week ahead as well.

Which car should I drive to work each day? Decisions, decisions.

^ Yeah, the +1's mother in NJ (Bergen County) is going to get slammed, too. Here we are on the line between 2-6" and 6-10".

Sounds like we will get a minimum of a foot, probably more. It was nice to have a day of normalcy between the wind storm/power outage and the biggest snow storm of the season. At least we will have Thursday and Friday to get things straightened out before we get another 6" on Saturday.

There are people I work with who still don't have power! 5 days with temps in the teens.

We are in the 8-12 range. Right now temps are low 20's at best, yet they say we will get a mix of rain and snow at times, so we will have the nice heavy stuff.

A few weeks ago, when we were out and about on a spring like Sunday afternoon, going for a drive so I could take some photos, I really hoped spring would arrive early. Guess not!

It's supposed to 90° here today, high 80s for the rest of the week, including Friday, which is St. Patrick's Day. Nice top down weather!
