It is 4 degrees here now, with a windchill of minus 13 degrees.

Tomorrow morning, at 7 am, the forecast is for minus 4 degrees, with a windchill of minus 23 degrees.

Practically all of our area schools have already announced that they are closed tomorrow.

Same here. One of the cables for the garage door jumped off the drum jamming the door shut with my car and snow blower stuck inside. Spent the evening repairing it. Why do these things happen on the coldest night of the year?

It is 13 at Reagan National Airport right now with a windchill of -2. Warmest spot in the area.

It is a balmy -2ºF currently. Almost every school in the area is closed today due to the lower wind chill factor.

It was ZERO when I left the house, we are up to 3 degrees now, feels like -15. I'm wearing a bulky sweater, a scarf and dug out some old hiking boots that fit well with nice thick socks. Very glamorous. Feet are still cold, but the sun is shining so my office will warm up nicely, sometime around 11:00 A.M.

Auto start and a heated steering wheel helped make my morning departure a little easier, though my Jeep squealed like a pig upon start up.

City schools closed; the town schools bus most of their students, they remain open today.

It's cold here today, too.

Minus 4 degrees now with a windchill of minus 20 degrees.

Most area schools are closed.

Our daughter is a preschool teacher, so the director of her school decided to remain open today even though other schools were closed because of the windchill factor. I guess that decision was made because the preschool children would be driven to school rather than take school buses or walk.
