Have I mentioned how much I love winter?
If weather permits, I have two sisters flying in from SC this weekend to visit with Mom and family. It won't take long for them to want to hurry back to their warmer climate.

You guys just have no where to put the snow Lainey that is the big problem. They say we have another possibly big storm coming Monday and then at the end of next week.

My folks are headed to Florida this weekend but after this storm are probably wishing they fled Cranston last weekend!
Aren't you getting some nice rain this year, Dean? Down here the weather is oscillating between warm, dry Santa Ana winds and then a day of rain. It's been very nice and has made the green show up once again. It seems like years since it's been green. Oh, that's because it really has been. Monday morning was a dry, warm 68° which turned to a nice, but strange, 5 hours of rain and a 20 degree temperature drop. Didn't see that coming in a few hour period. I know the drought needs a lot of major rain storms to be over and this is only a drop in the bucket. At least Colorado is getting a good amount of snow, over their normal.
There was a lot of hype for this storm. Some area forecasts were way off, but having experienced previous blizzards, it is better to be safe than sorry. We weren't overhyped.....
Our roads are not well plowed.
Here's the road my office is on. Main road to the waterfront, yet they never do a great job. Passable, but in some cases one car wide only.

Another "main" road in the city. Notice they have multi family "tenement" housing. Parking vehicles is very problematic. Not many have driveways. Parking bans limit where they can park and many families have more than one car.

My road again

Moving two feet of snow isn't easy, especially with the high winds and drifting. Many side streets have not been touched at all yet. Schools are closed tomorrow too.
A "light ship" I'm not sure what it does. Using pocket camera, could not make the fence disappear, but I kinda like it anyway.

A couple more from the second floor, out the window. Morris, I'd LOVE to send you some of this stuff, we also have more coming.
Boats in storage. Boating is a short season here.

That conclude my blizzard report.

Lainey I never realized how bad the plowing where I grew up (my neighborhood is a lot like yours I think) was until I moved to Vermont. Here in Vermont they just keep going until they hit pavement I remember growing up the city plow would go by once at about 40m.p.h. and that was it basically they were grooming the road! I do think a big problem where you are and I grew up is there is nowhere to plow the snow too.
